Our Story
April Christian, Owner and CEO
April's passion for planning events began when she worked in the family law firm with her father Zane Dale Christian for 34 years. She learned the importance of planning along with the intricate detail it takes when she had to coordinate Judge's and attorney schedules, along with the client's schedule. In other words, it was up to her to make a court hearing happen! As April would say, "that is when I realized that everyone's time is important, no matter who you are, or which profession you are in, people have lives and people are busy living life."
Her father's law firm was in the small town of Bluefield, Virginia; thus, that is where April lives and works to this day. Even though, April received a Bachelor of Science degree and graduated cum laude from Bluefield University and the University of Virginia, it was when she was working in this most demanding law firm, she was able to not only meet many different people, but was able to work with different businesses and joined many local organizations, such as the Bluefield Virginia Lions Club where she served in all positions, including but not limited to, President and received various awards.
April is a single mom. In addition to her being a single mother, she raised two beautiful boys, alone, through hard work and determination. As a result of that dedication, one son graduated as a valedictorian from Full Sail University, Winter Park, Florida. The younger son is presently on a full four-year scholarship at Berea College in Kentucky. Still to this day she states, "My boys are my most rewarding prize and the heart of who I am." April served as President of the Parent Teacher Organization for six years, along with grade representative and classroom "mom" the grand finale was her last year serving as Project Graduation President and hosting a "Community Fall Festival" of which she was told it could not be done. Her final ending total amount was around 30K. Point being, this required a tremendous number of organizational skills to bring schools, parents and teachers together.
This is where she ultimately began thriving in planning and organizing events, joining organizations and planning fundraisers with people and businesses throughout the town in which she lived.
April recalls, "It was then I learned I had a passion and love for helping anyone, anytime and everyone in planning events. Even though it can be stressful, I take the stress out of it and bring people together; while enjoying the hard work it takes to make it all happen. I have a knack for it!"
April can help you plan anything from weddings, anniversary celebrations, birthday parties, retirement parties, baby showers, employment promotions, graduation celebrations, business opening and growth opportunities. If you want to "celebrate it", she can "elaborate it" by making it into a great event!
Hey, you're not a local, no worries, she is always willing to travel up to 3,000 miles. Just set your budget and give her a call to make it happen!
